Default Won't start

Please help my lights come on the dash but won't crank over. When it's in the start position half the lights go out and it doesn't even make a sound. I put a OBD reader on it and the code reads U1000 .what does that mean help....

U1000 = Nissan: CAN Communication Circuit

Service bulletin suggests cleaning engine and body harness ground connection to repair the problem.
- Clean/re-tighten ECM ground connections.
- Clean/re-tighten negative battery cable body connection and battery post connection.

ALSO, Check if your battery is bad, you should hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the key on before starting the car, like an electric whine behind the passenger seat. That can most likely be the issue if there is no cranking as well.
