Default car won't start

I'm having a problem. For the last 2 weeks, i have had trouble starting my 350 up. When I go to turn the key, the engine would hesitate and then finally start. It sounded almost like the battery was dying as I started the car. This has happened about 5 times on and off. And sometimes the battery light will blink whenim driving. Tonight, i just went out to start the car...and nothing, it wont start at all. There is a clicking sound every time i turn the key but it won't turn over. I have a very large aftermarket stereo system and a viper alarm system. However, my digital stiffening capacitor is reading 12.6 volts, so I know it not the battery. Could it be the alarm system wiring? Someone please help me here. I have no clue and can't start my car.

Sounds like you may be running too much through your single battery source. I'm far from an expert in stereo equipment, however, so if anyone else knows for sure, please let him know.

I agree with the battery conclusion. I've had a couple of batteries die on me in exactly this condition with the same symptoms. Only other thing I've experienced is when a starter went bad the same thing happened. Hard to start, then one day, nothing but clicking. The fact that the battery light is blinking sounds like a clue to me. When the hestant start happeend before, had you driven it only a short distance prior to that or had the car sat for a while between starts?

Power after car starts comes from alternator, if you have mods installed that exceed that amp rating of the alternator, power will be taken from the battery. If this is the cause the battery is only being recharge when the alternator is not being over loaded.
