Damn. Took the roadster in for a hand wash yesterday and on the way home, noticed a crack in my windshield. I went back and spoke with the manager as I was pretty sure they hit the glass with one of the unpadded metal compressor nozzles they use for drying. He said it was likely a prior chip that ran out after it was hit with the pressure washer. Sounds like cr@p to me! He would not relent and it wasn’t worth a court fight considering my deductible is $100. The good news is the glass shop indicated the aftermarket glass doesn’t fit the roadster properly so they are ordering OEM glass from Nissan at no extra charge.

Beware of carwash chimps—one more reason to personally handwash your baby. If you have a ZR and need the windshield replaced, be sure to confirm fitment for the roadster with the company replacing the glass.

 

Never take your roadster to a car wash, they will never do it as good or as carefully as you will.

 

That stinks. I feel your pain or should I say your aggravation.
