Default Any 350ZR with engine mods out there?

So far, I have Injen CAI, grounding wires, Borla TD.

I will install Kinetix cat in a week.

Any one has header installed?
ECU, pulley, .....etc?

Dynoed HP and Torque?

I don't have the sound file but it sounds great with CAI. You won't be disappointed.

I say the Borla TD sound about the same as stock, not any louder, just BETTER.

I put JWT Pop Charger and the Nismo exhaust on mine. Awesome sound when you put your foot down. I'm going to hold off on the Kintex plenum until some issues with it get resolved.

I have Stillen Exhaust and I am planning on putting DC Sports Stainless Headers once they come out in begining of April. They are very reasonable price and they produce about 12HP at the wheel. I don't know if I am going to put Intake due to some stories about oil getting in the engine & filteration is bad.

I will wait later this year to do Kinetix plenum.

I also want a DC header but I do not like the high cost for installation.

Ok, so I've seen this word around the board for a while. But what exactly does the plenum do? I know where it is on the top of our engines. But what is the advantage of changing it?

FYI: The search function is currently down.

Thanks

The front portion of the plenum slopes downward to miss the strut brace. So, in theory there is less air volume for the front cylinders. Something to that effect.............

Ditto. 245hp don't remember the torque. My dyno sheet is up on the site.

I just recently had my Vortech supercharger installed and the sound on its own is insane but combined with my high flow cats and Injen SES exhaust the car is a monster. Check my post on "modified roadster pics" for some photos.

I've done the Headers, Hi-Flows & Borla on mine.
Then turned around & did @3,000 mile road trip!

The new sound is music to my ears, evertime the foot goes to the floor. I'd have to say that it is a bit louder & a lot deeper than stock. Not so much that it's a bother, with the top down though.

As far as installs go - Headers can be & have been installed in the garage on jack-stands. I did mine that way & will be doing the same on Peptidbond's this weekend. If you're interested we wrote up the instructions. Peptid's got them up on his website.

I was on the dyno not long ago, ran 236Hp & 230torque, but the Air Fuel readings were way lean. Plan on installing the Crawford Plenum & Strut bar then send off my ecu & dyno's to Technosquare. Should take care of my lean position as well as low Hp numbers.

Instead of DC Sports, I got Nismo Header.

READ MY SIG.

The set-up you have on the exhaust side is exactly what I have planned. I definitely do NOT want it loud at baseline, however. Loud when you really punch the throttle is fine, but what I really want to avoid is that low resonating bass drone at low-mid rpm when cruising. Any comment?

Speedracer,

If your question is directed to me, I'd have to say that the only time I have the low drone that you're asking about, it occurs @1,500 RPM & runs up to @2,000 RPM. While at normal crusing speed it is not noticable. When at WOT it is loud, but not deafing.

I want to install DC header myself if I can. So far I did Kinetix cat and Borla TD myself.

Do you have the link to his web site for header instruction?

Thanks

Here's the link to where it's posted. I've checked it, so I know that it's still working.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=64906

I do NOT suggest that you try this one on by yourself. A second body is REQUIRED! (Well at least very, very highly recommended)

I've now done this twice, on jacks in the garage. It is able to be done, but it does take time. In both instances dissassembly started on Friday evening (1 person) and went all day Saturday (9 - 9; 2 people) and most of the day Sunday (9 - 5; 2 people).

I'm not trying to scare anyone off from doing this on their own, & I'm not trying to toot my own horn, just want to give the best info that I can, from what I've been through.

Thanks for info. My wife always help me with install. The other reason that I should not try to do this? I will allow the whole weekend for it.

As long as you have help along the way you should be fine. Make sure you take plenty of breaks, things tend to get FUBAR when you start to get tired & hungry.

Let me know when you're planning on doing this, I'd like to be able to give you my contact info incase you have additional questions.
