Dunc,

I didn't know our wheels could look so good. What did it cost?

Dunc's pics look great on the SS but I'd really like to see then on the CS with the top up and down.

Thanks!
If you guys can wait just a couple of days I'll be taking some great pics for you. This weekend my baby gets another 3-coat Zaino treatment

Hi guys,

What's the turn around time to get rims chromed? I'd like to get my 17"s chromed like the ones I saw in the pic in this thread.

The local dealer in Tampa had a set in stock, they look awesome on the roadster, I also added the chrome z center pieces on the rim they add a lot.

I live in SD and REALLY want the three dot chrome wheels from the above link. I have 18's. Are the three dots 18's? I never saw these wheels until after I bought mine.

Default Re: Chroming the Alumimum Wheels

Nissan actually does an exchange program with your rims and then has a set of original factory aluminum 18" rims that they have chromed in CA sent to the dealer. They do not manufacture chrome rims, they are 5X dipped in chrome.

I have read that chroming aluimum wheels will cause problems. I have read that over time that the chrome will flake off. Nissan now offers chrome 18" rims that while more expensive would probably cause less problems over time. Just have to weigh the cost of getting them rechromed if the chrome starts to flake. I think the Nissan chrome rims are like $1,680 and if you have to get your aluminum rims rechromed then that is 1,400 right there and would almost be the same as price as the Nissan wheels. There are also a lot of aftermarket chrome rims out there too.
