Default New Wheels on Roadster - Pictures!

Here are the new wheels I just put on my Silverstone Roadster.

They are 18x8 Infinity G35 Coupe wheels. The more open design really caught my eye and the color matches the silverstone body really well.

I added "Z" center caps.

There are more pictures posted here:More Pictures

Looks good, personally, I dont think they are different enough from the stock 17"s that I woulda spent money on em, but they look good.

Yeah, I know what you are saying. But they were cheap. I paid like $1300 and I can probably get $600 for my 17 inch wheels and tires so...

I went from 17 inch to 18 inch and from potenzas to Michellin Pilots and up to 245 rears and 225 fronts for only $500.

If I ever want more extreme wheels I can always sell these and upgrade again. But I was saving $$$ for the recent stereo upgrade.

Default Overall look

However..... (thinking a little more and looking at pics) I do think these wheels change the overall look of the car alot.

If you just look at the after picture, you see wheels that look similar to before. But if you look and before and after in person the change in stance/attitude seems bigger.

Here is a comparision.

I think they look really good, particularly in the before/after pic.

That's totally what I wanted to do from the first day I saw those wheels. In fact I was looking for wheels like that after I saw the Z and before the G35 wheels were even shown!

I bet it looks better in person because I don't think photos capture the qualities as well?

My neighbor just bought his cousin's G35. It had 20" wheels so I asked him if his cousin still had the original wheels and he said his cousin just sold them for $300 missed out on that one.

I wanted them from early on to. My old avatar was actually a photoshop of a silverstone roadster w/ these wheels and it was done before I even owned the car. Once I saw the photoshop prototype it was only a matter of getting the car and then getting the wheels.

I agree that they look better in person. The gunmetal gray is a very deep finish and the rounded spoke look sculpted. The spoke on the 17 inch Z wheels always bugged me because they look sort of flat and stamped for my taste.

Also, these wheel just look more aggressive because they have more open space that shows off the brakes. The lower profile tires also help the look a lot more in person.

I think they are lighter than the Z combo I took off. I had to lug all 8 wheel/tire combos by hand and although I didn't weigh them , the g35 wheels and tires seemed a little lighter.

Wow, someone got the deal of a lifetime.

Bummer that it wasn't you.

These wheels come up for sale on the G35 boards once and a while. However, since the sedan owners want them the price never gets too low unless they are damaged.

Congrats on your new wheels. I definitely think the thinner spokes look better.

I don't get it... seems that they cost you $700, still a deal.

Ummm yeah. I was tired. That was a math error.

$700 is still a good deal.
