Unhappy Stereo System help

I read in Road & Track today that there was a recall on the amplifiers in some 350 Z coupes. The sound is my roadster is abysmal compared to my '96 Jetta!! My Z was manufactured in January '04. Is it just a bad sound system or is my car affected by the recall as well?? Oh, I have the in dash 6 disc changer version on a Pikes Peak White touring roadster. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!!!

You have the updated system. I use to have 03' Touring with older Bose system, It really sounds crapy. I mean really crapy. If you had listen to 03' Bose system for 8 months, you would really appreciate the 04' Bose system. It sounds much better.

Just put the top down and drive fast. There is enough wind noise so that all stereos will sound equally crappy.

Agree...had the 03 coupe and the Bose (even with replacement head unit) is significantly worse than the 04 Roadster. Yes, the Bose is still average (much better than my Pathfinder but worse than other stock units) but in my opinion will do until you make an upgrade.....The bottom line is you can make any stereo sound better, if it's a $500 system or a $10,000 system.....the question is how much money you want to sink into it and what your acceptance level is.....audiophiles are never happy with their system, they always want to make upgrades........so live with what you've got until you're ready to make a commitment to a system that will temporarily perform at your desired level.
