Which other roadster did you move up from?
I had a Mazda Miata 2000 Special Edition for 4 years before my 350ZR, and had a BMW Z3 before that. I find the Miata much nimbler (like a go-cart feeling, but in a good, fun way). However, the engine growl and power have already grown on me in only 3 weeks. The Miata was 140hp. The Z is also more comfortable for all 240lbs of me.
Did you move up to the Z from another roadster? Are you happy you did, or do you miss something from your previous roadster(s)? I miss the "hanging by the seat of my pants" feeling I had with the Miata - felt a lot more nimble, closer to the road, agile. I do not miss being left standing still by a Boxster....

I bought my first in '94, and '89 911 cab. Loved that car and wished I still had it. Traded it along with a '95 C2 for a '96 911 C4 Cab. Still have it (112,000 miles and still going strong). Added the 350ZR (touring, SS/BO w/BO ventilated seats & NAV). The Z has been my road car since arriving (2/04 - 12 miles, today 15,000 + miles). Liked how it looked and what I read about it. I haven't been disappointed.

a while ago, i had a 1990 miata. it was fun to drive, but didnt have the ***** like my mustang had before that (i swear though, the miata has got to have THE best manual tranny out there). i went back to a mustang cobra coupe after that, but missed the top down part of it.
now i got my zr and i love it.

I sold my 66 Mustang Convertible, 92 Miata and 91 300zx. But kept my 93 300zx convertible, 64 Mercedes 230sl, 91 Miata(strictly track car), 03 Sebring Convertible, Subaru Outback(kayak mobile). I am very lucky have an understanding wife, kept her too.
'70 XKE 4.2, very much like the ZR, especially the trunk, bought in San Diego in '87, missed two gears (4MT) and A/C
'82 Alfa Romeo Spider 1.6, drove it for almost 12 years, lost it in an accident 10 years ago, I believe I'd still be driving it otherwise
'97 Renault Megane 1.6 Convertible, probably not sold in the US, now 175 k mls on the clock, kept for bad times, miss power (90 bhp !) but love the fuel consumption (~40 mpg)
As you can see, with now two cars bought in the US (the XKE and the ZR), I did what I could to help the trade balance.

I turned my 2000 Trans Am 6 speed to a "roadster' by taking out the rear seats for my souns system.
350z Roadster is a totally different class, less torque, more class, more girls, more respect, more curves.
Omer.

I had to sell my 97 Mustang GT in 2001 when I moved to Europe in 2001. I just moved back and thought about waiting for the 2005 Mustang - then I drove the 350ZR Touring and bought it the same day!
91 Rx-7 convertible. Last of several RX-7s. Loved the lines of the convertible, didn't care for the Gen 2 coupe. Liked the speakers in the headrests and the quietness of the hardtop/lined soft top.
However, my new Z Roadster is far more interesting. And, I never cared for the exhaust of the Wankel, stock or modified.
