headlight haze? Is it on the inside?
So I am inspecting my Z and I notice the headlights have a haze. It actually looks like it's on the inside though? So I did a serch on it and saw a lot of people having problems with it, but on the outside?
Maybe I'm seeing it wrong but it looks to be on the inside in my case. Well I tried using PlastX from McGuire's and that didn't seem to work. I tried several times but I am using a terry cloth and some elbow grease to do it.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Could it be on the inside? Clue me in here fellas. I did a search for inside haze and didn't come up with anything. Thanks in advance!

if its kind of a yellowish haze around the outer edge of the lights then its probably on the outside. If it is a milky white color, then its probably from condensation and thats why its that color and it would be on the inside... Mine was a yellow haze and it was on the outside. I used plastix on an orbital buffer to get mine out.

No it's not yellow at all. It's a very light milky color I guess. If this is condensation how long does it normally take to dry out in there?

I was inspecting this stuff some more and here is the reason I'm guessing it's NOT condensation. When the lights are off THERE NOTHING THERE! It's only when my lights are on. What gives? This stuff is a mystery.
I've tried using the plastic polisher from McGuires called PlastiX and it's supposed to be the best. It didn't seem to have much of an effect if any. I didn't spend 15 minutes scurbbing it though.

i believe its because of the coating inside your head lights. Maybe it was exposed to moisture or something? Did you ever open it up? I know exactly what you are talking about... and the reason you see it only when you turn your lights on is because the light bounces off of it. I have this problem on my IS300 and the only way to get it out is the polish off the inside coating of your headlights with a rubbing compound. (not worth it)
