Thumbs down Eagletanggreen >>>>UPDATE! I Blew my Motor Today!!<<<<

Went to the drag strip today to run my little car and looked what happed BoooM!!!!:

Mods please don't move as its FI related and most FI members do not visit the Drag forum.(

Well lucky I only blew the plenum up and everything is OK. I went home and got the OEM plenum but did not have all the screws for the plenum and limped it home. I will go to Lowes on Monday and get some and will go back for more.

This was my second run of the day and final .

What happend was when I was on the top of first she broke loose and started jumping so I let off and she back fired hard. Thats what blew the plenum, and Phuced up the hood of my car.

The first pass was a shake down run to make sure everything was feeling good. So no perfect run to show.

Posted down belowis what I ran on my shake down run.

Launch @ 3K with a slight slip no 2 step
Peddling 1st, 2nd, and bit of 3rd.
275/35/18 BFG DR's thats right DR's

I ran 17psi just to feel the car and I ws going to drop to 15psi after the 2nd run but faith had my afternoon planed

Just incase its hard to see

60ft 1.93
1/8 103.4 mph
1/4 11.14 @133

Unofficial of course, but I believe its the fastest 6 speed with DR's, and highest trap with no nitrous on the forum.

Its oblivious what this car is capable of with the JWT 850BB's

Next month stay tune when I take the Cosworth plenum to the track and destory it!

LMAO @ those pics, worse than what I imagined. Now we have both broken/cracked Crawford plenums! Lucky it didnt break into smaller pieces and then get sucked into the motor.

Amazing traps, car has much more in it as we all know and the slips tell. Welcome to the "my car runs 11.1 but I had XX XXX issue" club. Good stuff!!!!

I just think it kinda funny

Thats what Joe said "I didnt think it was goin to be that bad". I think the little shitty Cosworth would have blasted into a million CF pieces

All I had to do was get a good launch and rip threw the gears, but I guess another day.
