Actually, the suspension on my car is having bigger issues with a slightly bent part. I'm thinking the coilovers will fix the issue. I want to have them on before I make the drive becaue its throwing my camber off slightly.

Ha ha - didn't even think of it like that. I was just thinking of an easy failsafe for the guys traveling a long ways together. I'm sure everyone understands this is a street set up. If you wouldn't drive 500 miles on your drag radials, then we probably shouldn't see them on any of the cars, eh? And if they claim they did, we better see them impregnated with road debris and rock chips!!! I can just see someone with soft, sticky tires driving back on that airport's dirt road after a run - guarantee that 2nd run won't be 1/2 as fast. lol.

You guys are going to have a riot. I played around on a 2,700' runway last weekend and had enough room to get to the top of 5th gear before getting out of it.

I still had my stock/horribly worn brakes too. I think all the "big dogs" are backing out because some of the newer builds are going to put the smack down on them

I was on 275 T1R's, which obviously suck. It was pretty cold (upper 30's). I did runs from a stop and 1st/2nd were useless, but 3rd I could go WOT with some wheelspin and maintain control. From a 45 roll in 3rd, I could lay into the throttle without much trouble. This runway was newer apshalt and in really good shape. Traction was quite a bit better on the runway than what it is on the street with these cold temps.

 

Is anyone bringing some VHT It looks like this is going to be strictly a roll race..hmmmm

 

Dammit I really wanna go to this, but I'm riding up with a bunch of people who may not necessarily wanna go to this
