Those are M6x25mm and 16mm lengths for various places around the engine bay. There's a lot of places you can put those, so you're usually best getting a lot more than you think you need because they're not that expensive.

That kit in the pic is one for somebody with a 5/16 spacer.
I sent him 50mm and 70mm lengths for the 7 middle bolts, and 35mm ones for the perimeter, and he didn't have a problem.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to grab a couple extra 35mm ones just in case (if you have a spacer)

i went to order and was thoroughly confused lol. i know I'm pretty slow but can someone please translate the bolt size for me..

6mm-1,00x10 FHCS (ss)

obviously the ss is stainless steel
so im assuming the 6mm is the thickness of the bolt.
the 1,00 is that pitch that you mentioned, midna
and the 10FHCS is the length

??? i need to order these soon lol

^M6 is the bolt size (metric, 6mm dia bolt... these are the ones that would have a 10mm head)
1.00 is the thread pitch (pretty much all the M6 bolts on a Nissan are going to be 1.00 thread pitch)

and the 10 is the length in MM from the top of the bolt head (the flat surface part, not the bottom of the head where the threads start)

A 10mm is super short. I would recommend you only go as low as 16mm for short bolts, and 25mm for most of them (but grab a few 16mm length, they're necessary in a couple places)
Sorry I can't give you guys a ton of details, but I'm used to dealing with the G35, and the engine bay on the 350 is different, but uses a lot of the same bolts.

Thumbs up

Alright guys, here's the list I've compiled working from what NFSP G35, midna, and NoSurf2Day had provided. I also cross referenced with the GalleryFresh kit list, Courtesy Parts' diagrams and datsun1200.com's part number decoding thread (interesting read on how to decipher nissan's part numbers).

(Updated 9/5/12)I've added this exact setup to my engine bay, so I can vouch for it all.

This is for the HR motor, but much of it is the same for DE cars as well (just use half of the throttle body bolts, ignore the engine cover nuts/bolts, and add the plenum bolts that midna and NFSP have listed).

Headlights
(2) M6x1.00x20mm flat head allen bolts
(2) M6 countersunk washers

Strut Bar
(6) M10x1.25x25mm flanged hex bolts (use 30mm if you have a DE with a plenum spacer)
(2) M10x1.25 flanged nuts
(8) M10 flat washers

Shock Towers
(6) M8 flanged nuts
(6) M8 flat washers

Power Steering Bolts
(3) M6x1.00x25mm flat head allen bolts
(3) M6 countersunk washers

Radiator Support
(4) M8x1.25x20mm flat head allen bolts
(4) M8 countersunk washers

Engine Cover (HR specific two piece cover)
(3) M6x1.00x20mm flat head allen bolts
(3) M6 countersunk washers
(4) M6x1.00 dome(acorn) nuts
(4) M6 flat washers

Hood
(4) M8 hex nuts
(4) M8 flat washers

Throttle Body (for DE motors, get 4 of each and the bolt are 60mm in length instead of 55)
(8) m6x1.00x55mm metric allen bolts
(8) m6 flat washers (the smaller the outside diameter the better)

Fender
(6) M6x1.00x25mm flat head allen bolts
(6) M6 countersunk washers
(4) M8x1.25x20mm flat head allen bolts
(4) M8 countersunk washers

104 total pieces.

Haven't ordered them yet. I built the list to send to a vendor who told me they would build a kit, but now tell me to buy the separate smaller packs of bolts... FML

I was actually looking into some kits that were on ebay that were what looked like to be identical to these. I was suprised at how cheap they were...

Like OP i was always drawn away from the high dollar kits. I find it hard to believe you really need extremely high quality strength bolts to hold on a plenum cover or a fender lol...Coming from me where ive used zipties to keep together an entire front end i think any cheap alternative would suit just fine

I agree. I just don't trust the finish on the cheap bolts... With all the heat cycling that happens under the hood, I'd imagine they wouldn't look great after a while if you went too cheap.

i put a list together in the shopping cart and had to run out.. i thought that my list would still be there after 30 mins of putting it all together but it wasn't!

but the price for all the bolts and nuts that you can get from allensfasteners was like 55 bucks. not bad for something that some sites charge well over 200

All I did was use the old fashion "elbow grease" using Nevrdull....works miracles!
What your seeing is oem strut bar bolts (originally crappy lookin') that now look like brand spanky new polished lustre to dazzle the eyes!!!!
