You would tie the Escort "Quick Release Mount" (that came with you radar and with the suction cup removed) to the bottom of the bracket like in this picture:

How did you like this detector? Was it effective for you?

This was (and still is) the best detector I have had by far. I still use it today, hard wired in my truck. I've had it for about 8 years and it still works perfect. Back when I was up north and was "cruising" with a bunch of guys driving with Escorts and Valentines, all the people with Escorts would spot the radars about 200 ft before the people with Valentines (not hating on the Valentine, just sharing my observations).

And if it starts not working all that well, Escort offers a reconditioning to new for $70 if you send it to them.

It's pricey but the $260 I spent back in 2005 has probably saved me about $3000 in ticket and insurance premium easy!

Highly recommend!

you will love it, when i installed mine it being right under the mirror bothered me at first, but it is way better than being stuck to the windshield. i noticed that the rear detection works better now since it pretty much has a straight line out the back glass without obstruction. if you really want to clean it up, get this.... no more visable wires

Oh ya. Ive had the solo s2 under the mirror for a while now. But got myself the blue display x50 for Xmas. I bent the visor clip and made it work but w the x50, shape is diff and shakes/mirror hits buttons enough to change the hwy / city mode etc. Annoying so this should do the trulick! Thanks for the link but I've had it all hardwired for the longest also so clean as Hek.
