Man, I surely do agree on the sig thing. Let the Avtar provide self expression & limit the sig to a few words; no pics.

In another thread I just learned you can go to the control panel & eliminate sigs.....which I did.
So if some want to get creative with sigs & let them express themselves to their hearts content!

On most of the other forums I frequent, they have sig rules like:
This all helps with thread load times as well... if you're not having to load someones 500k sig, 15 times per page.
Keep up the good work, Kyle!

I think dimensions are ok, such as 600x200. But its the file size itself that tends to kill bandwidth. You should put a cap of like 50-100KB and only allow one picture. I've noticed this site get slower and slower recently and I'm willing to bet its because of these ridiculous sig sizes. Some of the sigs are bigger than the posts themselves.
Some basic guidelines should be set, such as:
- Certain file size (KB) and dimensions (XXX x XXX)
- Certain amount of lines of text in the sig (Say six lines w/o pic
and two lines w/ pic)
- Keep the sigs somewhat car related (this is a car forum after all,
although pics of b00bies are welcome )
- It will be the moderators duties to monitor the sigs and take
the appropriate actions with violators.

I'll definitely support you 100% on a reduction in allowed sig size. Not just a drastic reduction in allowed pic height (width isn't so much of a problem), but also a drastic reduction in the number of lines of text. A lot of lines of text are just as bad as a big pic if you ask me.
And I definitely thank you for you continued work on these forums. It's great to see an active admin keeping things up to date and under control. Thanks!
