Besides, who needs pics in a sig when their avatar says it all?

 

How about turning the pics back on in the sig and limiting the length of the sig, my god some guys have their life's history on there, I just saw one that was the length of my my screen, I would rather see a pic than that, who reads them anyway.

 

There are hacks to limit the length of the signatures. I just posted in the suggestions thread on how to limit sigs to show up once per page.

Honestly, you'd have to ask Kyle or Vic why we haven't turned the IMG tags in the signature back on as I do not have access to the codes.

Oh, I agree. I've seen some 350Z sig.'s that list every mod on each line including that they own a 350Z and are 25+ lines...

 

Okay, here's my suggestion:

[1] Create a auto profile page that allows each member to fill out their hearts desire on the details of their car.

[2] This will only appear as a small link at the bottom of each post where the current sig is positioned now OR you can put this under their screenname. Member will be allowed to tag this link whatever they want given they fall within the limited character count (similar to title found under SN). So in this case, someone can call it "Modz", "Modifications", "Details", "Goods", whatever...

[3] As an option, allow members to post their custom signature graphics. To avoid rediculously large pics, limit the file size & dimensions. I would say limit them to same or slightly bigger size of a vendor banner.

haha yeah, on a small monitor, you have to scroll down a whole page to get thru some people's mod list on their sigs.

 

1.) That's going to come with the Gallery re-opening which I am working on. I don't think we'll be able to list mods...but...he/she may be able to write down the mods for each pic...example: if it's a picture of the exterior, for the title, write all of the exterior mods, engine, etc., interior, you get the point.

2.) We will allow the user to put a link up to their Garage when it is open.

3.) I would just limit the signature to about 250 characters...or maybe 150 and of course limit the hosted pic size...

 

I pay for advertising on my350Z for my 'Zee-Bracket'. Part of my sig is my banner. Hard to advertise if nobody can see it...this is really getting old

This should be a priority for admins and moderators. You're absolutely right, this must be fixed asap along with the vendor page and feed back links.

The issue is cross-referenced in this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....21#post1370121 and maybe a reason why some vendors are leaving.
