When you bring them back is there any chance of a size limitation on them? Some of them are just gaudy big.

Isn't there an option where when someone posts in a thread his sig. is displayed in his FIRST post of the thread but if/when he posts a second (or third or fourth etc) his sig. is NOT displayed in these?

We have this over at Frenzy and I'm sure it'll save you a ton of space and allow pages to load a lot faster.

Also please fix the pics attaching as well, 75000 KB is way too small, I cannot stand to save or take a picture, then to have to resize it to post here. PITA. Other Z sites let you post pics that are double even triple in size.

Like I said, that will probably come with the server upgrade. I imagine we just don't have the space to do that until we get a bigger server.

I have yet to find that in the configuration.

That might have been a hack addition to the board over at frenzy.

Can you hack it here then? Maybe they'll share it with you but I don't know, being a "competitor" and all.

The sig pics just affect how long it takes to load the page or how long it will be, and it really only delays showing of the pic so the thread is visible. As for space they are hosted off site so it shoudn't affect the server space here.

^^^^Exactly^^^^^ Sigs have nothing to do with website loading speed. I like the idea of limiting the sig to the first post in a thread...but not subsequent threads. That makes things easier to read.

Also, I really hope the site admins are NOT planning on doing what they did with g35driver.com. They now have a "premier memebership" for $29.99/year, which surprise...surprise....allows people to have offsite signature pics.

Please dont do that.....

Depending on your connection speed, page layout sig's images can have a big impact on how long it takes to load a page.

On top of that It suck's when you open a post to read then all of a sudden depending you loose your spot on the page due to the amount of sigs images that are showing up. meaning the page size increases.

I agree limiting the sig to the first post in the thread is cool but I have yet to find out how to do it. Hack the program maybe but the minute you hack things it makes maintenance for upgrades a pain in the butt.

GQ sorry to say this but your wrong about the premier membership. On G35Driver we dont enable the images in the sigs at all. Doesnt matter wether your premier or not. I take you have no clear understanding what premier membership does for the site?

BTW, I knoticed you have an online store most of the products you have listed in your store the same as what you have been running your group buys on?

YOU DO KNOW THAT IS NOT ALLOWED CORRECT?

Yes..I am aware of that. But I am not running GB's anymore (except for the crank angle wire thing that I dont sell or make any money off of...I did that one for Phunk). I just recently started my own online company to sell various high performance parts. Some of them were part of past GB's I did a while ago...but most of them are not. I have done GB's on pistons, rods, and fuel system....that's it.

Anyways, I will no longer be doing GB's, and I will respect the other vendors. I do intend to become a paid sponsor, once the business pics up a little bit. The website just went live 2 weeks ago....and its pretty dead so far.

Sorry about the confusion on the g35 board, but the wording sounding like the permier memebers would get their sigs back..maybe I misread it.

I have it on my club's forum and it was simply adding 3 lines in one file, but mine is a phpBB forum so not sure if it is easier to do.

Turn signatures on! This site is becoming boring and uneventful to look at.

" Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words" Not turn them off and look at a thousand words!

The sigs will be turned back on, but it will be in all likelihood when the new server is implemented. I'm sure one of the admins has an approximate timeframe on this.
