I think it needs to be in Texas. Midwest areas. The east are for th east and the west are for the west. Stergis is a great idea also. I know my dad enjoys it with his Harley. I just don't know how they would feel about a bunch of import cars? I think Stergis is more for the bikes
I have a feeling Texas would be our best bet IMO...

Oki, I've talked to the wifey, and I get a free pass to go to pretty much wherever this happens to be. So lets go ahead and decide so I can plan my trip to wherever. =D
Sidenote.. for sure this time, Im coming home in January, and im done with A'stan for good, so anytime after then would be great.

I say ZDAYZ because I'm closest to deals gap and because it was so much fun this year.
realistically however I would think that an area most centerally located in the united states would be the best option. but I can say in all honesty I most likely wouldn't attend anything much farther away than ZDAYZ just because of the sheer cost of traveling and lodging, not to mention the needless miles put on the vehicle.
hense why I say ZDAYZ

Chicago is even better for me. Only about a 4 hour ride. Texas would be about 18 or so, but i'd get a chance to visit family in Tejas.
Can we please come up with a way to determine where this will be? Sheesh, do I need to help plan this sucker? =p

The Annual Z Car Convention rotates convention sites every year to give folks from all parts of the country a chance to participate. I think those who attend are hooked (If you are a die-hard), and make an effort to drive to the next year's event because of the fun they have, as well as the people/friends they make. In 2008, the convention will be in Cleveland Ohio, and the track venue will be Mid-Ohio sports car course.

Im tempted to throw up a Captian Obvious picture in response to your last post, but instead I will explain that I realize that. However, if we are to get this off the ground, the next step is to set a hard location and begin planning for it. We are well past the phase where we are gauging initial interest.
So my obvious post of the day is to say that there is a desire for the meet.
Oki, Im not a mod or staff member, but lets just consider that to be the end of that and move forward from here. From this point on, lets start working towards where it will be instead of where it could be. Poll time? Then we can start logistics of it. This will also give people who might have to take time off or plan the trip, enough time to do so.

Isn't the point in owning a Z to hit the road and go to places you've never been and see things you've never seen before. I could say lets have a national Z meet in the Deadwood or Spearfish South Dakota. But why the hell would I want to attend another event thats in my backyard. I want to hit the road. Drive down some scenic byways and eat at crappy little diners on the side of the road. After talking with Jeremy@Forged I'm trying to make it out ZdayZ this May and that's over 1800 miles one way for us. Which in a car is cake. I logged over 1100 miles in 2 days last summer on my Harley, riding through Jackson Hole & Yellowstone in Wyoming and up over the Beartooth pass in Montana to Red Lodge for a kick azz party. So challenge us to go someplace we've never been and I'll make it there.
