Area I = 2ID lot of restrictions!! WLC in Uijeongbu down from Camp Red Cloud. You might have more liberty since you are going to be an Instructor. I spend 2 1/2 yrs in that area, not bad and close to Seoul on Line 1 and then 6 on the Subway if I remember correctly. Get off in Itaewon or the next station close to Yongsan. Good Luck!

heh, we probably bumped into each other and didn't even notice...

i'm sure you hung out the AUDI section the longest, right?

 

I got there and the first thing that caught my eye was the BRIGHT red Audi TTS, so I go to get a closer shot and this f*&#king DUDE out of nowhere just starts leaning on the door! I use my hands to shoe him away but I guess he didn't know what that means and continued to pose there...so i gave him the finger and then saw the crowd @ Mobis and moved there. Was able to get a with and of the chick next to the Geni Coupe which I must say did look sweeet..oh and the car too. 11piece body kit and somewhere in the upper (26-29k) range fully done like that one. There were some pretty nice models and some that should've stayed home....I was some race events as I heard the RACING girls are wayyy better than these girls, but then they're prob so Surg'd up that you can't squish their noses.
My USB is fubar ATM and can't upload my car show pics..as soon as it gets fixed, will post up.

 

I didn't spend a whole lot of time in any specific section actually. we just kind of lingered back and forth until we eventually saw everything...

I guess I went there with different expectations and I was so disappointed at what I saw, compared to what I expected to see, I was just ready to go somewhere and get drunk. I was probably only there for about 1.5 - 2 hours... I'm not saying it was a bad show. I'm just saying it's like biting into a strawberry but tasting mustard.... Not what you would expect to taste...

I thought it would be more like a Tuner scene with lots of car clubs represented. It was more like seeing a Motor Trend magazine come to life. I guess I should do more research before jumping on a train for 2 hours....

 

yeah, i know what you mean... i had the same feeling when i went to the tokyo motor show, so i expected this to be no different.

but the good news is that there is a TUNER show coming up in a couple of weeks... 23-27 i believe? we should try and set something up so we all can go... hope it's more like HIN.

 

Ooo so that's the show that Derek told me about. Damn visa states my last LEGAL day here is the 25th so I might just take a quick trip somewhere for a day or something...not really what I'd like but I also really want to go to the tuner show.

Yeah, Andy is right. Tuner show is coming up soon. They are going to have a modified car contest, drift demo by my friend, etc. I was asked to display my car, but I decided not to... My DK friend who owns Super Drift tuning shop is going to have a booth, so I might go visit him. Let me see if I can score some free tickets from him.. My car is getting repainted as I type this post.. I'm going with the same color, but it will be more orange with more perl flakes..

 

Sounds good. I just hope it's not the 24-26. We have to do some kind of mandatory training. I actually thought all military on the Peninsula had to do it?

Oh, I renigged on the SRT8 Challenger and got my money back. Turns out they are not going to let me drive in Korea after all.....That's fine with me. Now my plan is to wait for the Nismo 370Z to come out this summer and buy it.

 

- yes, we do have mandatory training due to all the liberty issues that skyrocketed since they changed the curfew to 0300... sucks, but sunday should be clear for us to go. it's not like we'll be there until 10pm anyways...
