Default kenwood nav install

installing kenwood 4100 nav and my nissan service manual that i ordered seems like its never gonna get here. need 2 find speed sensor wire and reverse lead(preferrably in the dash area), help would b greatly appreciated...

$100 at a local install shop would be $$ well spent (the route I went when I looked at the wiring of the 4100)

search the forums, I know there is a speed sensor wire in the center dash area near the top gauges. No clue on the reverse wire.

The speed sensor wire:

The VSS wire is in pin 26, gray 16 pin plug, at the Unified Meter and A/C Amp behind the A/C controls in the center console. The wire is WHITE.

When you take apart your dash there should be a white box that needs to comes out. In one of those plugs is your wire.

The reverse wire...we had to run the wire back to the reverse lights. That was the easyest thing to do.

That is according to DEI's direct wire. This wire will vary from 0-12vdc based on speed.

Thanks guys, maybe now I can get her finished. Been apart for almost 10 days now.
