Default JL Audio 12W6v2 12" Subwoofer (HELP!)

Does any one know if I can install a JL Audio 12W6v2 12" Subwoofer on the factory compartment (BOSE) behind the driver seat?

Thx!

yes you can but not recommend since if you need to fix something back there, you can't access to the area.

Bubble,

Very nice!!! Do you have some sort of plexiglass cover? Also, is your sealed. I noticed the magnet at the bottom touches the floor.

Any rattles around the area?

CESAROTORRES

I just build a box and was going to put a JL 10w6v2, but decided to go with a Diamond Audio sub. It has .84 cubic volume and a 7" inch mounting depth. The little hole is for the speaker terminal.

Here is the box. I am almost done. Just to need to carpet the sucker.

tractng,

the box is seal. The magnet still have room on the bottom. What you see is the fabric that it touch. I have dynamat the entire are; therefore, no rattles.

Man Bubble, all I can say is WOW! That looks absolutely gorgeous! How's the SQ? I've always heard that being the biggest complaint about people mounting their subs back there. Any truth to that with your roadster?

if you mount it properly (seal box for the sub, have the right cubic volume, dynamat the ENTIRE area before you put the box in) then you are good to go.

Bubble,

Is the box removeable? Is the sub hitting against the sealed box (wall)?

Did you do it yourself?

Yes. It is removeable. There is still some room from the seal box to the car body. That why it is important you dynamat the whole thing before you put the seal box in.
