Guys,
I am thinking of changing my 4 gauge power wire to a 1/0 gauge. How hard is it? Did you have to cut the rubber at the firewall?
The 4 gauge was ok when I install it (I used a 10 gauge and tied it to the the 4 gauge and piggy it through). I didn't have to cut the rubber at the firewall. I just fit it through the hole (firewall) where all of the little wires go through.

bastard,
Right now, I have a xenon 600.1 (600rms) and a pg octane R5.0:4 (200rms).
I might be changing the octane to the xenon 100.4 in the future. What do you think is the better wire for me?

0 gauge wasnt as hard as I thought it would be to run...
There is a rubber grommet behind the battery which you can get to if you take the plastics off in the engine area... if you run it through there you meet up with a stock wire management thing that routes I guess it would bose wires(?) around to the rear of the car. The 0 gauge fits through that with some pushing and pulling but it goes very nicely, no big bulges in the carpet...
You can run it through that back to rear metal plate behind passenger seat and along it and up through the center consul through a nicely placed hole which will allow you to move the wire all the way to back if need be.
I think it was good thing for me to run it, you can get away with just 2 sets of 4 gauge, however, having plenty of power to your amps is never a bad idea.

no, it is right above the battery, there is a huge rubber grommet.
You have to take some little plastic pieces off, the same ones you would need to take off to get to the "intelligent power distribution Center." (as per shop manual) It takes like 20 sec to take the plastics around the battery off.
The grommet on the driver's side that goes through the fire wall is near impossible to run wires through, I hate that thing.
The only draw back to using the giant grommet is the fact that once you cut a hole in it, you need to seal it up real well or water drips onto your 700 dollar components learned that the hard way...
