Default New HU & Amp/Keep Bose Speakers

I want to install a new head unit, install a 4-channel amp, and keep my Bose speakers until I can afford new ones. Will this work? How do I by-pass the Bose amp? Can I simply splice into the Bose speaker wires to connect the 4-channel amp?

yeah, cut the lines that run from the bose amp to the components, and run new lines from your new amp to the components. Then you can just take the old bose amp out of the car.

Do you guys know the ohms for the Bose front component speakers? Will I need to add a resistor inline to get the ohms up for my amp? I'm planning on installing a JL 300/4, which can go down to 1.5 ohms okay.

Blose speakers are 1 ohm... the amp should be fine, just dont turn it up too high...but add resistors if it would make you feel better

1 ohm for interior speakers? how many watts do you plan to runn to them?

I am running mine at 4ohm. I was under the impression that 1 ohm is waay to low for interiors. Well, maybe thats because Im running 100 watts to each of em
