Default Kickpanels and door-pannels for sale?

Anyone where to find those custom speaker-mounts that go on the door or the custom kickpanels that let you mount compnents? Seems like this would be a fairly common component for sound upgrades.

Unhappy Custom Only

Mecha - I checked the Q-logic website & they have nothing in production for the 350Z or G35 yet. It's rather labor extensive but U can make them yourself if U can work with fiberglass. The hardest part is getting the imaging ( aiming ) correct. I used both a laser pointer & some long dowels to do mine. Good luck!

I haven't heard of any company offering custom kick panels yet for the Z. I've seen a few custom installs, but like previously said, they were fiberglass. Fiberglassing works just fine, but it's a hassle to mess around with. The stock door position works just well

Lightbulb Stock vs Kicks

In my case, the stock location just didn't do it for me. U can only ask a 6.5" driver to do so much ( midrange or midbass but not both ). I even tried to put a Focal 5WS woofer in the factory kickpanel area by simply cutting the panel & surface mounting the 5.25" driver in an infinite baffle configuration with some Polyfill behind it. The system had plenty of midbass ( albeit sloppy, IMHO ) but lacked midrange since the 6.5"s were firing into someone's legs. I just swapped the drivers around & added another 1" tweet in the custom kicks. Then I crossed the 6.5" kick driver as a dedicated midrange & dropped the door-mounted 5WS down to 58 Hz to serve as midbass. The SQ picked up three-fold & I have some of the tightest midbass ( up-front ) I've heard in many competition cars I've designed & built. I guess it depends on your budget & what U want out of your system. Heck, I know some people that think the factory Bose system is fine - different strokes, I suppose.

Thanks (:
I had the 5.0.4 behind my driver's seat for a while doing the same thing you got your 8.0.4 doing cept running two tens. It worked extremely well. It got a little hot however. I would put it there still if you had a small 12 volt fan in there somehow circulating air

Phoenix Amps are super!!!!!!!!!!!
