Firmware upgrade will be available this January to previous revision owners. ... don't ask me how much, because I haven't a clue.

 

I bought mine a few months ago and it came with POP.. because on warm up it flashes P O P.. Would I need this upgrade???

 

Nope ... you're all good. All new units shipped around the time you got yours have the latest firmware w. POP support. Uprades for others is support to start sometime in Jan.

 

I guess I'll be needing this upgrade.

If you have a fairly new V1 (the skinnier one) the upgrade is $55 plus shipping. Just go to the V1 web site and input your sierial number. It will tell you what upgrade you need and how much it will cost you.

The funny thing is that Valentine was saying not that long ago how useless POP detection was...

pop is used but doesnt hold up in court because its inaccurate.

However, from the detector point of view, it gives you warning that there's a cop out there.

wut exactly does it do, does it notify u if a cop is there, for example most cops cant be picked up by the detector if there not radaring, if this is so this would be a great investement...

 

It basically gives u a further warning then most radars. For example if a car infront og you is speeding and he is POP'd your V1 would pick it up before its your turn, and give you enough time to adjust your speed.

thanx yea that explains alot, i wish there was some kind of detector that showed all cops or something, i saw that mischief video and that yellow bmw M3 had all kinds of defencive **** against
