Default amp location...

hey do any of you guys have your amp on the carpet right behind the driver seat? cuz im getting a box from nazar for under the strut, and i dont know if i should put it there or in the compartment behind the passenger seat. I popped open the compartment behind the driver seat but there doesnt seem to be any place for it in there to sit on...

I've seen a few installs with amps in the passenger side glove box. Seems like a pretty nice place to mount your amps and you'll have the convienience of getting to them by opening the glovebox door

I have both of my amps behind the DRIVER'S side compartment where the OEM sub used to be...the installer made a shelf for the amps and it looks cool...only downside is that i won't get to see the amps again

He did this so that i could still use the glove box.

I put them in the compartment behind the driver's seat and used a flat piece of peg board to mount them to. I used a couple spot ties for secureness and on the underside I epoxied pieces of foam to keep the rear up high and stop it from rattling/bouncing around.

Not to difficult to make a platform from .5inch mdf. Use a couple of small spacer blocks on the bottom where needed to keep it level. Couple of L brackets on the left side to hold it in place and one support brace in the back to put tension down. That's all I did for my first install and it worked well.

Now that my amps are between the Hump and rear brace, I use the platform for all my crossovers.

Have a look.......

I did the same. I don't care if I see it again though. I like it "stealth".
