tacomaboy,

Nice. Is it sit flush on the other side?

Also, do you have picture from the sides? Did you do the fiberglass for the mold straight from the car?

Yeah there are pics of the other side on that web site. It sits flush... I am not sure if I want it painted or carpeted... probably carpetted to keep it low key on that side.

Thats exactly where I got the idea from, I actually wanted yall to do it for me, but you could not do it since I was out of state.

Thats ok, its fun, and I get to learn. Pain in the butt though!

I now have the sanding done, but I need to use a better filler, so I am hoping the local Sherwin Williams has that Evercoal Metal stuff yall used.

And THANK YOU SO MUCH for the great write up, or I could not have done it.

By the way do you have any closeups, any imperfections, I would REALLY feel better knowing that... since I dont think mine will be perfect hehe. Also, what were your biggest challenges, and have you done many fiberglass jobs before..

this is my first, and its friggin tough!

If you want, e-mail mike@activetuning.com, he's my business partner, and did all of the fiberglass work as that is his forte (he's also the fabrication moderator at mp3car.com). Just from what I can tell you, if you are doing the amp rack, use MDF, not plywood. In the end, make sure to staple some carpet to the bottom. Over time the carpet will start to sink and you'll see more of a gap since the box will be slightly lower...simply staple another layer on.

Good luck!
