Default Is this a good sub enclosure?

I am wondering if you all think this box would suffice to put a 10" JL sub in and do you think if it will fit in the compartment behind the driver?

Suggestions needed!!

robcassell,

It wouldn't fit. The max. height for the stock opening is around 8.5 inches. So your box should be 7.5 - 8.0 high. The woofer will add another .50- .75 inch to the total measurement.

I built like 3 boxes so far so I know the measurements.

Let me know if you have any questions.

i agree with tracting, best bet if you want it behind the driver seat is to get all the stuff that you need to mount the factory sub, then seal off the inside of the compartment with silicone, and dynamat(or similar) and mount the sub in there, Lots of ppl have done it with great sucess. If you wanna be real trick you can coat the inside with fiberglass, paint it, put on a lexan window and mount the sub to the window and put a light in the compartment and be pimp..

Anyone do this with a roadster? I'm wondering if there is the same space in there as the coupe.
