Default Phoenix Gold Xenon X400.1 Opnions Please.....

I am considering doing a JL Audio 10w6v2, i am trying to decide between the JL Audio 500.1 Amp for $440.00 or the Phoenix Gold Xenon X400.1 for $250.00.

Will this amp power the 10w6v2 properly, and is one better than the other or am I paying for the JL Audio name?

I have no doubts the JL Amp is good, I was more or less trying to confirm or deny if I can expect the same performance from the PG amp that is $200 less

www.onlinecarstereo.com seems to have some pretty good prices on everything

looks like they have your amp for $439.00 for the X200.4

You won't regret it. I have the exact same setup 10w6v2 and Xenon 400.1

TwiZted,

The PG is bang for the buck. I have a xenon 600.1 powering a Diamond sub. The amp is nicely built.

Phoenix Gold will only honor amps bought online from thezeb.com or sounddomain.com

so if your amp decides to say cya and you bought it from an unauthorized dealer.... you are stuck with a 440 dollar paper weight

I paid 550 for mine

I'm not looking to blow my glass out or anything I just want a solid set-up, I listen to mostly california punk and rock so I'm not concerned with slamming bass to rap or anything

Ahsmo, thanks for the pointer, how long is the warranty PG offers, onlinecarstereo.com offers a 1 yr warranty w/ their amp

throu thezeb or sounddomain, 1 year factory warranty.

I can personally attest to the quality of the factory warranty

however with a flat rate of 50 bucks, you can get your burnt up amp fixed if you need to no matter what your warranty status is
