Hey guys I bought this Unit today along with cd changer,xm reciever. I would like to know how to test this system by myself as for I bought it used.(I would want to test the tv monitor itself to make sure it opens/retracts fine etc) Would there be anyway to test it without doing the complete setup with the brain? also is the brain necessary to test the unit. any help/diagrams will be greatly appreciated.

I have the AVH-P7500 DVD. The 7480 is the older version of mine I am guessing? I haven't seen that one before.

 

You can hook the power feed and turn on lead to your fuse box and ground the wire and then turn it on. Be sure to disconnect yoour batterey first. And, only run one wire for power and the other for IGN. turn on. you don't want to overload the box. his is the easiest way unless you have a friend at a car audio store --you can have them connect to the sound board.
