High End System With Cassette
Anyone out there have a high end system that can't let go of their old cassettes? Looking for unusual setups maybe with walkmans hooked up to AUX inputs or little known high end cassette decks that are hooked up with video systems.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not saying you should buy from any of these sellers, but Nakamichi is what I would look for in a cassette deck.

Or, choose a 2 din unit that has CD/Cassette/Video built in such as:

Really looking for folks that have purchased CD-only head units and are using the AUX input to run a separate cassette player in the center console or something - anyone out there doing that?

Any Alpine unit with the Ai-net adapter (all 2004 models) can be used in this way. There's an adapter that you buy that plugs into the Ai-net plug that makes 2 RCAs and then you get a plug that has headphone jack on one side and 2 rcas on the other and plug it in to that. My friends do this type of thing but with an Ipod instead of cassettes.
Dude why would you want cassettes? Get an ipod and download all your music you have on cassettes, it takes like 2 seconds.

High End System With Cassette
I've tried converting my cassettes to mp3 using iMic, but the experiment proved a miserable failure, and huge pain in the ***. I have too many to give them up easily...thanks for the info

Cassette
Yeah, I've seen that - way cool. I might install that in one of my "mail slots" and run it off the planned pc mounted in the glove. Shaping up to be a cool system - will certainly be original. I'll of course keep y'all posted. . .
Some of these youngins don't understand the cassette love - high nostalgia value!
Thanks for the info.
