Well, if you are entertaining the idea of listening to an iPod on your 6 CD HU, you can always make use of that cassette player slot for the iPod adapter.

The Bose 6 disk changer in the 05 Pathfinder plays MP3s. I don't know whether the same unit will be used in the 05 350Zs. The Pathfinder Bose is a standard ISO double din, while the Z cutout is a slightly larger version that would require a kit for the dash if you were to pick one up to put in your Z.

I did a lot of looking in this very topic. I started with a 12 disk CD/MP3 changer that I ran to my stock non-Bose headunit via an FM modulator. The sound quality made me want to cry, and not the good kind of tears. My budget didn't allow me to get everything I wanted, but I settled on a double-din Pioneer receiver that played single disk MP3s and sold the changer to pay for the receiver. Now I have killer sound quality and 9 - 15 albums on a disk, which is better that what I started with.
