Default Amp problems

Ok so my girlfriend has an amp and one 12 set up in the trunk of her IS300. I took it out the other day to get to the spare tire. I un-plugged all of the wires from the amp, and took the box out. The next day I put it back in and wired it up, and now the amp does not work. I know for a fact that all of the wires are in the right place because I have the exact same amp in my Z. The wires are not frayed or sticking out of the ports and all of the fuses are in tact. I dont understand. Basically I un-plugged it and plugged it back in. Any suggestions???

you sure you checked all of the fuses? there could also be a fuse / circuit breaker internal to the amp.

Well I am not really skilled when it comes to stereo stuff, but I do know that I checked 4 fuses. It is an Audiobahn Mono amp with three fuses on the outside that are ok and I also checked the fuse under the hood for the + wire. The Audiobahn amp has a indicator light that glows red when there is something wrong and blue when it is ok. So I know that the amp is getting power because the light glows red, and I checked it with a test light.

There is a light glowing red? That usually means the amp is going into protect mode. Check your grounds and your connections

Yeah, I thought about it today, and I will check the ground connection when I get a chance. Thats pretty much my last hope.

I learned a while back that working on my girlfriend's car stereo is a no-win situation.

How does the amp recieved signal from the headunit. Is it by RCA or high level inputs (speaker wire)? Are the RCA's hook up to the input section of the RCA Inputs. Check to make sure that all the crossover and input switches are set correctly for the configuration that you are running. If the amp is getting power, but not putting out sound, usually it is not recieving a signal to amplify.

How about the remote lead? I had an amp once that would act flacky if Anything wasn't setup just right, like ALL RCAs needed to be plugged in, gains set right, etc.

Well I didn't mess with any of the settings when I took the amp out. I just un-plugged everything and plugged it back in.
