Default Two Questions: Speakers and Amps.

I wanted to know if you can use the Aftermarket speaaker grills on the front doors and rear panels? Will they sit flush?

And, will an 11 1/2" by 11 1/2 amp fit underneath each seat?

I will be installing Eclipse Amps and speakers for my friends Touring model.

Any info or links would be helpful! Thanks.

Won't fit on front, unless you are really good at fiberglass/plastic fabrication. Some people have had luck using aftermarket grills to cover rear speakers. I think MR Quart was one cover that fit well.

You might find 11 1/2" tight under there. I would recommend cubby behind driver.

How tall are the amps? I got an Xtant2.2 under the passenger's seat okay. The Xtant amp is close to that size but only 2" tall. There is even less space under the driver's seat.

amps are 2 3/64 tall.

Would a 1 1/2 midrange speaker fit above the main speaker on the front doors?

This will be a 3 way component set. 3/4" tweeter
1 1/2" midrange
6 1/2" woofer

Dude, have you looked at the doors!? just kidding...

anyway, the doors are convex/concave, it would be just about impossible without custom work to get a mid range to sit flush because of the waviness of the panel. Best bet would be kick-panel and that would need to probably be custom too.

I shouldn't talk though. I am running Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 components in stock front location and 1" tweeter in the door 4 inches away. The tweet fits flush because it has a small diameter. I also use Boston Neo tweeter in stock location as ambient tweeter.
