Question To people with 8500 x50 Hardwired

Hello. I recently got the Passport 8500 x50 Hardwired with the bracket offered by one of the forum members. I love it, but when the bass hits, it rattles soo bad. It wasn't this bad when the suction cups where there. What did you do it fix this? Thanks <M>

I am assuming you got the "bracket" from Mike? If so, someone else had a similar problem. I would suggest you do a search, as Mike showed how to correct the "rattles" or vibration.

I do have the bracket from Mike. I used the search already, that is why I posted it. Do you know the name of the thread? Thanks <M>

chattermark,
The rattle usually comes from the fit between the male end of the suction cup bracket and the female slot in the X50. Bend a slight bow in the suction cup bracket so the there is a tight fit in the X50. Make sure the bracket is all the way in the slot.

I see that Mike 3348 has replied. But, do a "Forum Search" entering Mike3348. He did a post on November 3, 2004 answering this question with pic.

I put a small self stick silicone dot ( found at home depot) under my rearview mirror, between the mirror & 8500. Worked great for me!

I have the mount already. (and I am very happy with it) So I don;t need another one, it is not the 350z mount, it is the mount for the x50. That shakes. And it is fixed now. Thanks again, for everyones help <M>
