Just did mine Monday and Tuesday night. Pretty easy, just time consuming taking off and putting back on all the plastic pieces. Love it although it took a little tuning to get the sound just right. Biggest pain in the a$$ was drilling the holes to mount it if you are going to use the stock location. Happy to offer any advise if you want/need it.

THanks. I heard there is a danger in drilling. Some people's Z's have actually had their gas tank drilled through! yikes! Happened to a buddy of mine.

I'm going to need some advice on this one man...
thanks

I'm waiting to put my basslink in with my new system i'm preparing. I'm looking for a few good spots to mount it myself. I saw a member had it right behind the seats in the hatch area and it fit rather well. Maybe someone can post some of their finished install pics?

I put it in the stock location but mounted it to the top of the compartment. I could only mount 3 of the 4 spots but it seems very stable. Don't mount to the bottom of the compartment. I don't know how you'd get the nuts on the other side of the bolts you use, plus that's where the gas tank is. Going at it from above (under the trunk mat) was easy. I used long bolts, then cut them off pretty flush with the top of the nut and just put the carpet pad and carpet over them, you'd never know it was there.
