My touchscreen install <notes/pics>
Hi all,
I just finished installing a laptop/touchscreen multimedia system into my Z! There are lots of pictures and installation notes, so rather than post everything here, I'll link you to the site:

Feel free to browse around and email me with any comments or questions.
I know that I'm probably not the first one to attempt a project like this, or the first one to finish, but here's why I want to share:
Enjoy.

I know that I'm probably not the first one to attempt a project like this, or the first one to finish, but here's why I want to share:
- I came up with the design on my own. I never saw a single picture of a Z custom install until after I finished.
- I did the research and installation work myself (with exceptional help from the my350z forums for info on the interior removal and wiring)
- This install is subtle. Nothing is noticably different except for the video screen. No custom fiberglass or plastic, no neon...no 'glitter' of any kind. Nothing against that, but...this is definitely more my style.
Enjoy.
Matt
It's an '03.
I was a confused little monkey the first time I saw the non-sliding nav door. I'm not sure what prompted Nissan to change the design, although maybe that's already been answered before.

The door assembly screws onto the back of the dash, so if you got ahold of a sliding door, it should drop in without a problem.
