The PAC AAI-NIS seems like an easy solution for those of us with the '04 bose. I was under the impression that the coupe models were prewired for sat. radio and there was an additional button on the Bose unit.

Having an '04 roadster, I'm still stuck between a rock and a hard place. The PAC will work for the hook up, but I'm still not sure where to stick the Sat. recevier itself. I have the factory nav. so the cubby hole is not an option and having a cradle jutting out of my dash doesn't make me very happy.

Anyone have any ideas?

Here's my set up using the sunglass holder. The unit is an XM Terk Commander.

What do you do in order to switch to your XM radio and back to a regular CD or radio station?

To make sure that this aux input is for your application, just make sure that your "03 Bose" has the AM/FM button as oppose to RADIO or SAT. To switch over into it you simply press the CD Button twice and it will read CD CHG.

Actually I shouldn't have said I was using it for my XM right now. I'll switch the audio input for the XM eventually into the AUXNISS but I need an additional part since I have TWO audio sources going into it. Currently I'm using this aux input for my PS2.

No problem.
BTW to be able to add 3 other audio sources you need to get the AUX3 A/B Switcher from the same website.

I will tell you guys this, I was very surprised in the sound quality that I'm getting through the Bose if I'm watching a movie.

I was poking around on that site BlueDragonZ recommended and I came across an iPod2Car.

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=693

It looks pretty cool but it makes no mention of any support for Nissan vehicles. Does anybody have any experience with this product? Looks like it hooks up to the CD Changer port and charges the iPod while your playing your music.

I've been looking for a good iPod solution for a while. Basically, it depends on whether you have the 6-disc in-dash changer or not. If you do, you're only option is the PAC AAI-NIS aux-input solution (no iPod control). If not, your HU will control an external cd-changer or an an iPod controller like the one in your link. A controller gives you aux input and the ability to select songs, etc. from the Bose HU.

Caveat: You can't have navi and controller together with the 6-disc in-dash HU because they use the same connector on the back of the HU. I'm not sure if this is the same for the base HU.

Thread is a lil old, I know. I thought it was good though and had a question. Does anyone know where you connect the extra 3 wires and if they are even necessary? Also, is it possible to access the back of the radio without removal? It may be a little difficult for me to take the radio out because I have navigation.

Thanks for any help given!

This thread was very helpful. I installed the new PAC AAI-NIS2 in my 2006 Roadster. I am running my plug and play satellite and Ipod through the Bose stereo. I put the antennae behind the 3 gauge cluster in the middle inside the windshield. It works fine so far.

I have an 05 touring and my radio looks the same. It came with a Sirius and I am an XM subscriber. What do I need to do to change from Sirius to XM?

I have 06 roadster, months ago I purchased the AAI-NIS2 from PAC, they later came back to and said they were holding over thousands of them in their warehouse because of problems and did not want to send me the product until they figured out what was wrong. Does anyone know has this been corrected and what is the best way to go about ordering one?

Thanks
