Default Custom sub box under rear strut

To those who have the custom sub box under the rear strut. How is the box being held or tucked in? Below it is an empty space or just the spare tire.

Did you or the installer had to cut the carpet and make a brace for the box?

If you have a pic on how it's being held on, please post

Thanks in advance.

I have 2 10w7's for my custom box, the box it self wont move but when you put 2 subs that waight 30 lbs each the box will move on turns. It was ewasly fixed by 2 brackets that hold it behind the strut bar.

no, they are supposed to be made to fit snug... because of the wires coming out of the bottom, mine actually does not sit flush with bar

I used a nice little trick.

The sub wont slide towards the front of the car because of the size of the sub, so thats easy.

the side of the sub box facing the front of the car was ugly, so I decided to make a cover for it.

Now the cover I made is actually larger than the hole under the strut. And I have large screws sticking out of the back of the sub box. The cover has grooves in it that are inverse V shaped (I used a dove tail bit on a router). I can slide these grooves on the screw and the cover slides bnicely into place, meanwhile the cover also acts to hold the sub box from sliding towards the back of the car!

**********If you are covering your system on your insurance make sure that you have at least small brackets holding it in, otherwise your insurance may not cover it. That is what the adjustor from geico told me when i had to have a quote done.
PS if you are using gieco, they probably wont cover anything anyways becuase they are freekin horrible
