Default Anyone get caught for speeding with their V1 on?

I think we as V1 owners rely on our V1 too much, as it works great! but sometimes I see cops without their radar on, as they drive pass me the V1 don't go off. Just wanted to know if any owners have been caught speeding without the V1 going off?

My only complaint is the sight through the rear is only 0.8-1.2 miles

My only ticket was in a county where the Highway Patrol do not use radar?!

Not yet.

I don't understand your concern though. If they are driving past you and don't have radar, you don't have much to worry about.

If they are pacing you, it doesn't matter WHAT detector you use. You need to keep alert too. That's the best "detector" there is.

Only?

I don't think there is a cop around that could shoot you from the rear at 1 mile!!! He has to have a clear view of you in order to give you a ticket. Pretty tough at that distance.

Also, I beleive they have to be within a quarter mile for the ticket to hold up in court.

Here's some info: You can request a change of venue if you get caught outside of your area. Sometimes the cop will not want to drive too far and just not show up, case dismissed. By the way, how much do these V1s cost? I always ended up dumping money into other things on my car, but I'm curious about these.

You can get a returned V1 for $349, normal price is $400. Don' bother finding one on ebay, they only go for $20 cheaper and are outdated.

I got caught with my V1 on, the cop was coming behind a semi (on a two lane road) and he turned the radar on when he saw me. No radar detector can beat the instant on. I was careless and got nailed.

That's one ticket in 10 years with the V1, I wouldn't trade my V1 for any other detector.
