Default Were to put the Radar Detector?

One of the first things I noticed when I bought the Z is that it only has one accessories port, and that it is located between the two seats towards the hatch. So either I place it on the hatch window utilizing the accessories port, or on the windshield hardwiring it to the fuse box. Any recommendations?

Don't know which detector you have, but IMO I would get power by splicing into the back of your mirror wiring. You could probably do a search using "radar mount" and find one, which many are using by Mike. Or, you could send him an e-mail and ask him to reply with a picture: mike3348@adelphia.net

Appreciate the info...just placed it on the back hatch window for now using the accessories port between the seats. I will probably hard wire some upcoming weekend.

I bought an add a circuit to tap into the existing fuse for the mirror. It just plugs into the fuse box where the mirror fuse was and then it has a pos. wire coming out of it. You can also plug the mirror fuse back into the add a circuit. Essentially it lets you turn one fuse circuit into two. Seems to work perfectly so far. Has anyone had any electrical problems from doing this?
