Default Garmin 2610 install

I just bought an '05 Enthusiest, 6MT on Saturday. I already own a Garmin 2610 (use it a ton on my Harley). I put it in the cubby where the Nissan Nav would normally be and it fits perfect. Now I want to hard wire it.

I just ordered an external antenna and power cable. I think I'm going to mount the antenna in the middle of the front defroster vents on top of the dash. I think it will get just as good of coverage there than if I place it on the roof of the car.

Can anyone tell me the best way to route the cable from the top of the dash to the Nav cubby? Also, any suggestions on routing the power cable from the Nav cubby to a HOT and GROUND?

Thanks,
Michael

I'll post pictures when I get the hardwiring done. I'll even document the entire install with pictures. I just found the How To section and I found I can remove the console, radio, and gauge pod. So as soon as my atenna and and the wire kit comes, I'll start tearing into it.

The nice thing about installing the Garmin, its hands down a better GPS than any nav unit that Nissan or any other manufacturer makes. They are the gold standard by which others are judged, IMO.
