Forgive me if this is a re-post but I'm new to the forum and I can't find this info anywhere else...

I have a 2003 350Z, touring w/ Bose & navigation (production date is 11/2002). I'm told that the XM kit from Nissan will not work with my headunit and that aftermarket headunits will not support the voice guidance of the navigation system. So, my question is: what are my options?

work with an Alpine headunit? It claims to have an interrupt input which is needed to bypass whatever other audio is playing through the system and announce the voice guidance. Just not sure how I would hook this up from the current Bose/Nav setup.

Any help is appreciated, I really hope I'm not SOL on this one.

My last option I guess would be to get hold of an '04 Bose headunit. Will this work with the '03 navigation hardware?

 

won't the xm commander work? I know there's a "how to" in the sticky section of this forum. I did a quick search and found this thread, maybe you can glean enough info out of it to help you.
