Default Need some opinion on this setup

Existing gear:
Amplifiers
PPI Art series A300
PPI Art series A200
Speaker
Boston Pro60
JL 8W6 x 2
Head Unit
Alpine CDA-7998R
Cables
Monster Cables RCAs

I need help in completing this setup, any opinion is appreciated.

1) I am missing a set of rear speakers. What recommendations do you guys have? Would a component or coaxial go better in the back?
2) I am also missing an amp to power my JL woofers, any recommendations?

You can use your existing equip and be fine. The A300 for the 8w6 and the A200 for the Pro60s. Ditch the rear speakers and you're all set. The 8w6 is an awesome sub.

1. Component
2. Since you are using JL woofer, get the 300/4 JL amp series.

i would take those art series amps over any amps made today..they can do anything you want them to (within reason) i had a 404.2 and sold it, big mistake..no amp since has come close and i have had JL , memphis, etc...you'll be FINE with the amps. Bama350zMD

Thanks guys!!!

however, I am curious. Wouldn't having rear speakers improve the sound stage and imaging? Or is this a common misconception?

Btw, how much are you offering me for the Art Series amps???

Rear speakers do not improve imaging. As far as the amps, you pay shipping then I guess I can find space for them....
