Default MTX Thunder9500

Would putting an MTX Thunder 9500 10' sub be too much. I have heard the 9500's weight a shitload, and that it maybe overkill on a car as small as the Z. Also just how costyl and complicated is it to replace all the speakers in a Z if the Bose premium system is already set. Thanks

The 9500 is just loud and heavy. There was a guy here who put two of them in his Z.

If you listen to rap go for it, but if you want to keep sound quality, skip it and go with something a little bit more SQ oriented.

Replacing just the front speakers is all you want to do. So that really doesn't cost all that much aside from buying new speakers.

If you are going to replace the fronts speakers you have to put in an aftermarket amp for the speakers as the blose amp will not drive them.

Iam running two 9500 10's powered by 1 mtx 1501D. Its is true that they weigh alot. one sub should be enough. if you run one sub, i would use the last years MTX 942 (bridged). Also two subs is definetly not over-kill. here are some pics.
