from what i gathered from other posts is it fits really good in 03's but not that good in 04s thats why some people switch to 03 consoles.

i think the 7100 is touchscreen and the 7000 isnt. not sure tho

The 7000 only has one video input whereas the 7001 has two and a video output. Neither one is a touchscreen.
I got the 7000 because I just wanted to have a DVD player, but if you are planning on adding more than onw screen than you should get the 7001.

ok thanks a bunch guys.. i dont think i'll be needing more then 1 video in.. so i'm guessing 7000 is a good way to some some $$ if used only for 1 dvd player or xbox in my case...

the total shipped was like 160 bucks.. not a bad deal imo

once again thanks

Good deal that's about what I paid for mine.

703z I live in Reston, maybe I'll see you around. Any idea of what color and model you're going to get?

Yeah my fiance and I go to On the Border all the time, good food and really inexpensive. It's right across the street from the town center.

Try to get the Enthusiast so you at least get the HID's and a few other goodies for a couple grand more.
