Very Nice!
Does it integrate with the factory sound system?

I have a custom built pc (built by me) and a xenarc top of the line 7.5" lcd touchscreen and i also have every feature listed above as well as mobile internet and wireless network capabilities. Also I have two free usb connections available for quick plugin of flash drives and digital cameras on the go. And the computer was set up to be used with a reverse camera but i decided it was a waste of money.

This thing looks great. I'm not up on all of the details, so here are a few questions...

1. If the system has FM controls thru the screen, then why is there an Alpine radio right under it? Does it need the head unit to function?

2. I have the factory nav, which I like..... Can the system be installed in the stock double-din head unit location, and leave the existing factory nav?

3. How long does it take for this system to boot up?

Thanks

So cool!!! Will your unit integrate with the nearly 7k system I just installed? I have:

- Pioneer NavSys-620T Touch screen
- Pioneer 7700 HU
- Pioneer SDV-P7 in dash DVD

I think aseraj stated it pretty clearly, if you want to build it yourself, go for it, if you don't want to or dont have the time to figure it out, this is what he has assembled as a package. Looking at the parts and whatnot, it seems fair and I wish him luck because supporting end users is a pain in the @...

I just went though version 2 of my CarPC project and while all the information you need is out there (try MP3car.com, but make sure you search, search, search and then do it again before you ask a quesiton) but finding it is anoying if you don't know the lingo or where to start. Also, if you decide to do it yoruself, get a plan together so you get the right components the first time as some things work better toghether than other things.

By the way, if you are looking for a decent screen that wont break the bank and is bright enough to see in the day time, the DynamixComputers.com Dynamix ultrabright 7" fits with no modifications to it or the 03 nav compartment.

Here is a screen shot of my Road Runner front end skin and my CarPC
