Kick panels allow for a more even speration from the listeners ears, and they allow closer proximity to the mid range. Check out suggestions on Diamond Audio, Boston Acoustic, or other manufacturers sites which say kick panels are best way to go.

I gotta give chaparro78 mad props!!! I met up with him Wednesday, and by far..... His 350Z has the BEST sounding system I have ever heard in a Z (I've heard @ 5) And based on his setup I should hit very comparable to his. And that means...... Standing outside in front of the car, and feeling the bass through the CONCRETE!
VERY well balanced in ALL kinds of music he demo for me. All I gotta say is, I CAN NOT WAIT! By the way... my box is painted and looking

Even though I'm not personally using Focal speakers, your comments are biased at the very least. They are a solid and reputable company in the industry and ANYONE who knows car audio... knows this.
