Default Added 20gb Iriver Mp3 player to HU

Went and bought an Iriver 20gb mp3 player.
hooked it up to the line in of my eclipse HU..

im still not sure where the mp3 player will sit, it fits in the Nav comp. but i dunno where it will go atm

sounds is good, i cant tell the differance in quality between cds
and im pretty fussy....

was thinking about getting the Alpine ones with Ipod control
but Ipods dont do (wma's)

that would be so much better as you can control it from the HU and the ipod charges at the same time.....

if IPODs played wma's that would have been the ****....

anyway, i was worried about sound quality,
since i cant tell the differance i would recomend getting an mp3 player for your car if anyone is in the same position as i was..

no more CDs in my car

I have been using the iRiver HP320 for a while now sideways in the nav box. After putting a screen in there, it had to go, so I went to Radio Shack and they had these iPod holders for the cup holder, they are made of that squeezy foam (like those stupid marketing toys .com's sent to everybody). It fits ok in the front cup holder and my iRiver fits well in it but it does lean a little on the dash board.

I would like to do something a little more custom than this but with all the work I have been doing on my Car PC and before that my speaker box, I have not had time. The idea though is to have it slide out of the half din under my Clarion. The Car PC may make the how thing obsolete though, so who knows if I will get to that.

For more info on the iRiver check out http://www.misticriver.net

I'm thinking of an mp3/wma player to WhiteZ. I ran the Aux in RCA's from my HU to the Nav cubby so it's just waiting.

But, since I have Kenwood Excelon I was considering Music Keg.. I need to research more.

Glad to hear sound quality is good out of the unit. Hopefully it is better than the Sirius tuner I just installed. On many of the channels the sound quality is just crap..
