still lookin around for a low-cost replacement for sub. aside from infinity basslink solution, what do you guys think about a free-air sub..

ok nevermind that sub....

any other free-air subs? or is this a dead end cuz free-air subs are no better than stock.. ?

did a search here and some guy claims the pioneer one is good but that model is discontinued and hard to find anymore..

Infinity Perfect 10.1d
Crutchfield has it in very reasonable price.

Pioneer 254f - its a free air sub that is discontinued but can still be found online with some searching ($55+shipping).

Sounds great in the factory location along with some dynamat.

yeah i've google'd froogle'd and ebay'd around.. foudn stores with it advertized but none of them have it in stock and wont carry it any longer since its discont'd.

It seems like free air sub to me.

oh i was reading infinity site.. hmm interesting option

the pdf file does mention it could be used for free-air

diff between 10.1 and 10.1d is 4ohm vs 2 or 8ohms, respectively

i'm assuming we want the 4ohm sub
