Default alpine sps-170a

replaced my rears with a set of alpine sps-170a's hoping to add a lil more midbass coming from the rear to aid that weak *** stock sub. i'm really happy with the results. very clean sound, respectable midrange from this pair -- well actually ,ANYTHING would probably be better than the stock rear bose garbage...(why did i go with these alpines? for no better reason other than the fact that i ran into them at a blow out price, and bought it off impulse cuz i had no intention to replace rear spkrs...).

so in looking for a really cheap patchup solution to make the stock bose system somewhat acceptable, i ONLY replaced the fronts with infinity kappa 62.5 and rears with these alpines. everything else is stock (HU, Amp, wiring)

i was going to buy the infinity basslink but i'm thinking of holding off cuz i'm pretty darn happy with this poor-man's patchup solution so far. only problem was that now i have way too much tweeter high end sound, so i just reduce the treble down to 0 now.

gyus, i noticed today theres a constant hissing noise coming from the back -- it seems to be from the rear speakers -- it isnt the intermittent hissing noise from the fuel pump i'm sure -- did i mess up the install? or is it normal? i dont think i noticed this hiss noise before from stock rear speakers... or maybe i'm paranoid.

the hiss stops when i shut off the engine, but resumes right when i turn the key to "on" position without the stereo on.

its probably engine noise but ihav eno idea why that would do that by just replacing the speakers.
